
CHIP SHOP CURRY SAUCE
    
    INGREDIENTS:
    
1 Medium Onion
1 Medium Apple
1 Tablespoon Curry powder
2 Tablespoon Oil
2 Tablespoon Plain flour
600 ml Water (1 pint)
1 Tablespoon Tomato purée
Lemon juice
Salt and pepper
PREPARATION:
    
  1. Chop the onion and apple and fry with the curry powder in the   oil until tender. 
      
    2. Stir in the flour, cook for 2 minutes and then remove   from the heat and add the water, tomato purée, salt, pepper and lemon juice to   taste. 
    Simmer for 15 minutes.
    
  SERVING:
  Serve as an accompaniment to traditional British Fish and Chips.
